Is it safe to have a face lift with a cold?

Asked By:So Cali Girl in Orange County, CA

I have a face lift and upper and lower bleph scheduled for tomorrow and I've had a cold for the past 12 days. Congested sinuses and a non-productive cough. Chest X-Ray is clear. Although general practitioner has given clearance, I would like additional opinions. Would twilight be safer than general anesthesia in this situation? I am 45 years old and otherwise healthy.
