I had cool sculpting (freezing of the fat cells) done back in May 2016. it's been 11 months and still hasn't faded. I was provided with a skin bleaching treatment which somewhat helped but still not fully gone. It's still very noticeable and can even see the mark/shape of the suction. Anybody know of a safe treatment/remedy? How much longer will this stick around? Help!
Answer: Improving Hyperpigmentation after Coolsculpting--peels, microneedling/prp, skin lightening creams, sun protection This can be improved with a combination of lasers, Aerolase, microneedling/prp, skin lightening, peels, and skin care. Sun protection is essential. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: PIH Treatment PIH is a process that is quite common after surgery. Known as post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, PIH can make your scars look far worse than they should be. We can develop PIH after acne scars and after surgery, particularly if you have darker complexions. In clinical practice, we always begin with application of Melarase AM and Melarase PM creams (coupled with Melapads) to help smooth out the color and pigmentation. Once the creams are started, lasers can be used to further reduce the scarring. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Realself100 Surgeon

Answer: Hyperpigmentation from CoolSculpting Hyperpigmentations will need multiple treatments to lighten the area. Chemical peels, lasers, and prescription topicals are different treatments to address your concern. It does take time so it's important to be patient and apply the topicals. Also, protect that area with sunblocks everyday.
