I had revision rhinoplasty done 7 months ago. After developing irregularities & not wanting another revision... I had Voluma applied to the irregularities 2 weeks ago. The irregularities are definitely improved, but now the area seems like it was too filled. Although the irregularities are masked... it looks too "full". I wanted to give it time for swelling to go down so i waited till 2 weeks, but its not going away. I do not want to have all of the product dissolved, but some of it.

Answer: What happens if I dissolve filler in my nose? Swelling, bruising? Is it still too soon? Thank you for sharing your question. Dissolving dermal fillers involves the placement of hyaluronidase, a medication that is injected to break down the Voluma. A small amount can be applied to take down the area of fullness but because it is a liquid it can also over do the removal to take you back to your starting point. Depending on the asymmetry you can also add Voluma to the surrounding tissue to mask it. Ultimately it depends on your current nasal appearance and underlying irregularities created by your rhinoplasty and revision rhinoplasty. Best wishes.

Answer: Reversing Voluma Thank you for your question. Voluma, like all other hyaluronic acid fillers, can be dissolved with hyaluronidase injections. Like any other injections, hyaluronidase can cause temporary swelling and bruising. Because Voluma is a longer-lasting, more robust filler, it can take a series of hyaluronidase treatments to fully reverse its effects. That said, I think it's also important to keep in mind that the nose is particularly prone to swelling after procedures, and post-filler swelling can persist for over 2 weeks on the nose. I would recommend following-up with your surgeon to discuss your concerns. I hope this helps!
