I would recommend that you discuss this question with your surgeon as every surgeon has their own respective post op protocol for his/her patients.  Your surgeon is your best resource as he/she is most familiar with your medical history and how you are healing at this time.

The best way to assess and give true advice would be an in-person exam.

Hello,Given your less than desirable post operative course following the placement of way too oversized implants, this new event of leaking fluid is not a good sign, and my main concern is that the outside world is now contiguous with the inside world of your implant. Go visit your surgeon as soon as possible. Best of luck!

Thanks for your inquiry, this could represent a stitch spitting which it is not uncommon or a deeper infection.  But, without an exam it is impossible to advise.  Please do speak to your plastic surgeon to discuss management.

I would definitely call and be seen by your plastic surgeon. I am concerned by the redness and the fluid that you described. It is not possible to tell exactly what is going on without an in person exam. Good luck!

Thanks for the question. Since it's been a week, it might be helpful if you update the docs here on your progress. Hopefully you've seen your surgeon last week and have a plan for management of this. Drainage of yellow fluid especially 4 weeks after surgery should be a concern as it suggests delayed healing, which can threaten the implant with infection. This is not something to try to manage with online "advice" (none of the RealSelf answers are formal medical advice until you have a true doctor-patient relationship and you already have one with your surgeon). is to call your surgeon and ideally, see him/her so it can be determined if this was from a spitting suture or something more concerning.  Your surgeon should have  your back and wants the best outcome for you so continue to trust them to do the absolute best for you.  An exam is really needed so see your surgeon asap.

Thank you for the photos and sorry about your concern. It does appear that there is something going wrong with the healing under the one breast. Whether it is an infection or a suture is popping out it is hard to tell. I recommend you follow up with your board certified plastic surgeon as soon as you can.
