What tools and measurement tape can I use to create the vision/i of my rhinoplasty outcome? Are there any professional medical illustrators that offer rhinoplasty software facetouchup work simulations?
Answer: Rhinoplasty Morphed simulations are largely used as a sales tool and shouldn’t be the basis of choosing a plastic surgeon.,but the are online tools that will allow you to do your own morphing if you like.

Answer: Preoperative rhinoplasty simulations: Preoperative rhinoplasty simulations: many surgeons do not believe in preoperative simulations, because with simulations the perfect nose can be drawn or morphed every time, while this is not a realistic forecast of what will happen at surgery. I personally don’t believe in simulations since there is the danger of offering a Patient a “false promise“. If the surgery does not turn out as well as the simulation did some feel that the patient will have been misled and consider simulations “false advertising“. Other surgeons do believe in it and if used properly find it helpful with patients in deciding on whether or not to proceed with rhinoplasty. Some surgeons also find that the simulation helps them decide what and how much to do with various parts of the nose. I have found it much more useful to look at pre-and post op photos of other patients with similar noses to see what a patient has in mind. For female noses, there is not a great deal of variation In what is considered an aesthetic ideal. This is less true of male noses which can vary more and still look. A crude but reliable way of doing your own simulation without software would be to take a profile photo and print it, and then with a black pen draw over the dorsal hump and shorten the nose accordingly. For some kind of nose is this can be quite good, but would be less helpful for a front views of a white nose.

Answer: Simulation for Rhinoplasty There are many apps that our patients use for simulations but as a surgeon, I assure you no simulation will give you the correct outcome. I personally do not prefer to send simulated pictures to my clients because it's not a guaranteed tool. Best wishes

Make sure he/she is a board-certified plastic surgeon. Definitely check to make sure your choice specializes in the procedure you want and spend the time to read through patient testimonials. There is a number of different sites where you can check for reviews (Realself, yelp, google, etc.).You can always pick up the phone and call around also, find an office you feel comfortable with and set up a few consultations.
