Want larger beasts: I have very small breasts with a small torso. (photos)

I think a 345 cc implant is perfectly fine if you want to be a mid range C cup.  A larger implant can be inserted if you desire without difficulty.  You just need to decide what size you want to be.

After I do this with my patients, we then look at pictures of women with similar measurements with different size breast implants. My patients tell me that this process is very helpful in determining what size breast implant is right for them.

Please watch attached video for discussion on Augmentation considerations.If you choose too large of an implant, you have a higher risk of visible ripples, more lateral breast placement, capsular contractures.Review your desires with the doctors that are reputable.  They will show you how close they can get to your desires.  There is a reason you go to an expert to see what CAN work best for you  Look at their reviews and before and after photos.

Search for board certified plastic surgeons who perform hundreds of aesthetic breast procedures each year with favorable patient feedback and hundreds of untouched before and after photos on their websites.  Select a couple and schedule consultations with them.  They will be able to guide you to the correct size implant for your measurements and desires.  Measurements of the chest wall and breast imprint width as well as knowledge of all breast implant sizes and profiles should make this process easy. 
Try on a profile bra with the sample silicone and gummy bear implants of various profiles under a tailored blouse, tight sweater, swimsuit, and other garments you typically wear so that you have the best idea of whether the garments fit as desired with the implant selected.  I would recommend that you go with the size that boosts your self-esteem, and fits your anatomy. Choosing an implant based on an aesthetic goal that exceeds your anatomic capacity may lead to complications and possibly revision.

This is a great question and I think you might find a more specific answer helpful. It sounds like, of course, you know to see both a surgeon with experience, boards, and a level of comfort.So let's deal with your problem specifically, because it is common. A young woman with small breasts, very little fat, and a small torso, might very well want to look like the 'wish' photo that you provided. The problem is that the 'wish' photo has clothes on. Without her top, you might see all sorts of deformities, including nipples too high (bottoming out of the lower breast), ripples, dents, asymmetries etc. And these problems are very hard if not impossible to correct. Please remember too things:1. breast augmentation is a progressive stretch. The breast has to be stretched the right way. The implant should sit only underneath  the breast. If you have it any other way, it will look like a 'chest augmentation' and not a 'breast augmentation'. 2. Breast shape is always more important than size. You have a nice shape to start with. Don't lose it with an implant which is big but gives you an ugly shape.Hope this helps,Leland Deane MD FACS

for a breast augmentation.  The size, profile, and shape of the
implant is based on your desired breast size/shape, your chest wall
measurements, and soft tissue quality.  This decision should
be based on a detailed discussion with equal input from both you
and your surgeon.  This entire surgery
can be performed with a small incision technique.  Make sure you
specifically look at before and after pictures of real patients who have
had this surgery performed by your surgeon and evaluate their results.   The most important aspect is to find a
surgeon you are comfortable with. I recommend that you seek consultation with a
qualified board-certified plastic surgeon who can evaluate you in person.

I agree that the use of a larger implant is certainly possible. With full or high profile implants you can achieve a larger size and not have too wide a breast diameter which looks bad and is not stable over time. You should be able to go closer to 400cc. You may benefit from 2 different size implants as well. Good Luck!

Dear wacko69,Breast implant type and sizing selection is a complicated process and requires a detailed consultation that includes a discussion of your goals, a detailed examination, and a lengthy discussion. But the decision will always start and end with the patient. When it comes to sizing, we have all of our patients find 3 photos of their desired breast size. We ask for naked breast photos because clothing can obscure the true size (push up bras). Next, we consult with patients and go over the photos and take detailed breast measurements during a physical exam. Next, we using a sizing algorithm to determine a range of implants that will work based on the exam and the measurements.Lastly, during the operation, we use silicone sizers in the operating room to see how the size actually looks in the breast. We sit the patient up in the operating room, while asleep of course, and compare the sizer result with their desired look photos. If it is too small, we start the process over with a slightly larger implant. We don't stop until we get the perfect match.Of all of my breast augmentation patients, every one of them has been happy with their size due to this detailed and meticulous process. You don't want to invest time and money into a result that is either too big or too small.You should discuss your concerns with a board-certified plastic surgeon and make sure that your surgeon understands your goals.Daniel Barrett, MD

The ideal Implant size cannot be determined by height and weight alone. It is best to have an in-office evaluation so that careful measurements can be taken to determine the best size implant for your chest diameter, several upper body measurements, and current breast tissue. Once you have the measurements, they are all put together to determine the right implant from the right manufacturer. Breast implants of the same cc's can look and feel extremely different depending on the profile and material. Larger implants may thin your breast tissue and skin and increases your risk of being able to see or feel the implant in the long term. Some surgeons may be willing to put larger implants if you understand and are willing to accept the risk and responsibility. In my office, I have the MENTOR breast implant sizing system where different size molds are used to simulate how you appear in your own clothes and help finalize your decision.
