I had dysport done and had an eyebrow arch that was too high. I went back to get 2 units in each eye to fix the brow and it went down. Now I've noticed one eye is smaller than the other. Is this just temporary? Originally I had 6 units in each eye for crows feet and 20 for the glabella. Please tell me this is temporary. The injector I used is an R.N. with 12 years experience of injecting. I don't think I will touch my eyes again.

Answer: Uneven eyes and eyebrows following Botox treatment Hello Nicole. While one panel member claims that your nurse had "12 years of the wrong experience", the reality is that there are good and bad physician injectors and good and bad nurse injectors. Unintended side effects happen even with the best injectors. If your practitioner offered a detailed explanation of why this occurred, attempted to resolve it if possible, and you believed he/she was understanding and apologetic, then it's a relationship that you may want to maintain. Your details and photos are helpful in providing appropriate feedback. The good news - Botox and Dysport have temporary benefits, so when one experiences a negative outcome, this will improve over an average time span of 3-4 months. Being that your injector corrected an over-arched brow, it's apparent that you also had your forehead treated. The forehead is the "elevator" of the face and brows. If you received too much in this muscle, or treated too low above the brows, you will experience more of a heaviness feeling and appearance being that your usual compensation by the forehead has now been put to sleep. In our practice, we tread very lightly across the forehead to allow for some natural movement of brows and forehead and also to avoid what you are experiencing. In many cases, there are little tricks of the trade including a technique to dose opposing muscles to help counteract the heaviness you are feeling. In summary, your forehead became too rested when the touch up to correct the over-arching of the brows was given. This, in turn, prevented the usual lifting was now makes your eye appear smaller without this upward lifting of the brow. Consider a treatment plan that helps counter act this until it wears off.

Answer: Your nurse injector got this service wrong. I an so sorry that you are experiencing this. I find that is is challenging to impose a correcting treatment until some of the service has worn off. I recommend waiting about 6 weeks before this is performed. If you do it now, everything will be immobilized. I use the Microdroplet Lift® that places treatment along the eyebrows and leaves the forehead untreated. This will create lift and balance your ridiculous treatment result.
