Did yoga after botox?

Usually most Doctors recommend no strenuous activity for a few hours after Botox, but given your timeline you should be fine. Keep in mind, you may still have swelling which can last 1-2 weeks after your procedure. If you remain concerned, I recommend following up with your Doctor. Best, Dr. Emer

I would agree with your doctor that you should be fine and I do not believe that the yoga you did 2 hours after your injection or the threading you had to your eyebrows will affect the results of your Botox injection.  

Thank you for your question! I advise my patients not to exercise, bend down or lay down for at least 8 hours after injection. It may lead to migration of Botox. I would suggest you to have follow up appointment after one to two weeks, to make sure that everything is ok. Good luck!

Thank you for your question.  While it's always a good idea to avoid exercise after Botox, most people do not have complications.  At this point, waiting until the 2 week mark will indicate what the ultimate result would be.  You can also schedule an appointment with your provider on that date to address any concerns in person.  

While it is best to avoid this type of activity after injection, in all likelihood you will be fine.  It takes up to two weeks to see the results of Botox. If you haven't noticed any untoward effects by then you most likely wont.

Avoiding exercise after Botox is advised so you don't accidentally push the Botox away from the intended muscle that has been injected. It's not likely you moved the Botox with your Yoga. It wil take up to 2 weeks to see the final results, but next time don't exercise, rub, or manipulate the area that was injected for 4 hours.

Hello guiltyvaingirl,Thank you for sharing your question and concern. While it is true we almost uniformly recommend no lying flat or doing strenuous exercise for 4 hours post Botox injections I tend to agree with what you were told by your injector that the yoga you did will not likely affect your results in a negative way. On the other hand the only way to know will be to wait and see in that nothing can be done at this point if something untoward did occur. In the future best to have these discussions at the time of your Botox injections. Also know that if your results were affected in what you perceive to be a negative way they are NOT permanent and will wear off in about 3 months just the same as if all goes perfectly well. Be patient. 

There should be no untoward effect from doing yoga after Botox.  There is not enough direct pressure for there to be a problem
