Coolsculpting is a fat-freezing procedure for non-surgical fat-reduction treatment.  It uses controlled cooling to eliminate stubborn fat that resists all efforts through diet and exercise. Some swelling, bruising and numbness can occur after treatment. This can last up 2-3 weeks. If you have any concerns please contact your treating physician.

The vast majority of Coolsculpting clients will experience swelling post treatment.  This feeling of being bloated can last from 2-3 weeks, and is not only normal but necessary. The body is drawing fluids into the treated area, in order to begin removing the destroyed fat cells through the lymphatic drainage system. The post treatment numbness of the area  combined with the swelling creates the illusion that the area feels hard.  This will subsist within a few weeks. If the swelling does not go down after the three week period, please see your physician for an evaluation.

Swelling and bruising are common after coolsculpting. Most patients experience some swelling. This typically lasts 2-3 weeks. Massaging the area and wearing compression can help during this time.
