I had Restylane injected mostly in my top lip 3 days ago, should my lips be this puffy?

I have had quite a bit of swelling above the lip, nothing was injected above my top lip but it appears to be heavy like it's pulling a lot from under my nose when I smile and my smile looks awful!!!! I have a rectangular hard lump that measures half an inch long on one side, making it droopy and heavy looking. I feel like Bart Simpson with the duck lip look. Is this seriously normal?? I did bruise quite a bit and I know it needs a few weeks to settle, but really, THIS much puffiness is normal?

This can be typical after lip filler. I would wait a full 2 weeks before judging the results. If it is after the two week wait, you can have the filler reversed with hyaluronidase.

Yes, this can be typical. It can take 1-2 weeks for final results with lip fillers. If you're unhappy with your final results, you can have it reversed with hyaluronidase and try a different technique next time. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Swelling is very common after lip injection and at 3 days not unusual but it should not look like a duck.  if not settled in the way you want in another 10 days see your injector or seek a second opinion and be sure you see a board cerified dermatologist
