Do autoimmune diseases not being treated with prescription drugs complicate surgery?

I have celiac disease and an autoimmune condition call multifocal choroiditis. I do not take any drug for either of these. I've had one Avastin injection in the last year (in Jan). Would simply having autoimmune disease complicate surgery? Could surgery trigger any sort of issues?

Dear tummyissues,

Some autoimmune diseases can effect healing
because the autoimmune process may affect the vascular supply to organs body
wide. In your case, however, my understanding (though I am not an
ophthalmologist) is that your multifocal choroiditis is exclusively limited to
the eye. In that case, you should not have an increased risk of surgery.
