hello thank you for your question and provided information as well.. based in your question its depend of the procedure you gonna get. me recommendation is discuss all about the with your plastic surgeon.
This is dependent upon a host of factors including the amount of surgery performed, the cause of the anemia, and the treatment necessary to improve that anemia. In an otherwise healthy person without anemia or other consuming disease, there is usually nothing that needs to be done. The HgB does not have to be artificially elevated for surgery. BBL can be performed for most individuals with a hemoglobin above 10 or 11. Your PS is in the best position to make that decision.Kenneth Hughes, MD, Board Certified Plastic SurgeonLos Angeles, CA
Every surgeon has their own preoperative protocol and I would consult with your surgeon about your concerns.Kamran Azad MD, Board Certified Plastic Surgeon
Dear babyrain1,every plastic surgeon has his own preoperative protocol which he recommends to his patients. I would suggest you to discuss this with your plastic surgeon.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
Surgeons often have different opinions so it's probably best if you discuss this with your own surgeon. I would suggest contacting the office as soon as possible in case they want you to do more tests.
Hello babyrain1,It’s a pleasure to answer your questions! Based on my experience performing cosmetic procedures, you are not disqualified from getting VASER Liposuction with fat transfer to the buttocks (Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL). However, before committing to a BBL surgery, patients should be in good physical and mental health. Preferably, they must be free of any active diseases that could make them unable to endure BBL surgery and recovery period. I would recommend a medical clearance from the hematologist prior to BBL. As a general rule, it would be safe to perform BBL if patients have a hemoglobin level over 10. Request an in-person consultation with an experienced plastic surgeon to assess your candidacy for BBL based on your age and health status, among other factors. Kind regards! Dr. De La Cruz.
Hello, thanks for the question. The very least your hemo levels should be is 12, so i suggest you try to bring it up as much as you can prior to surgery. Good Luck
