Is difference in nipple colour normal after a lift?

Hello,Unfortunately, your photos are difficult to assess. I would call your surgeon for an immediate follow up just to be sure. Better to have a false alarm with your surgeon then to sit on something that needs to be addressed. Best of luck!

A difference in nipple color after surgery particularly something as involved as a breast lift may indicate venous congestion. If that is indeed the situation or issue, then a patient might be a candidate for hyperbaric oxygen treatments or perhaps a medication such as a steroid or some other type of vasodilator or maybe even you may have a doctor that would like to use leeches or nothing at all. Bottom line; consult your doctor as soon as reasonably possible so that he can have a look at you. Thank you.

Hello dear, thanks for your question and provided information as well... I have to say that your breasts color can change between the first two months from surgery, I would suggest you to contact your surgeon intermediately for a check up, just in case, hugs!

Dear roxie255,Pink is good, even if the colors are a little different from side to side. Press gentle on each nipple and look for "capillary refill" or blanching with blood returning after you release the pressure. That is a good sign. If the blood supply is not as good on one side there may some issues with healing, but purple or black are the scary colors, not pink. You photos are not at all ominous but a follow up early this week with  your surgeon is certainly in order.

From your photos it does appear that one nipple is somewhat darker than the other.  Although, this color difference may resolve on its own as the swelling subsides,you should let your surgeon know about this and have them examine your nipples as soon as is reasonably possible.  Best wishes, Dr. Lepore.
