I had lower blepharoplasty a couple of months ago. I loved the results at first and I think it looks better than before the surgery, however I’ve noticed that there are indentations under my eyes now. It’s like you can see where she took chunks of fat out from under the eye. It’s very noticeable from the side. Is this normal, or do I need to have a repair surgery?
Answer: Need to come in to consult For unique cases where a variety of modalities could be used to treat the condition, I would suggest an in-person or virtual consultation to develop a custom and effective treatment plan. It is difficult to precisely define the best option without collecting the same information. I suggest reaching out to an expert for a consultation with surgical and non-surgical methods to get a comprehensive option. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Slight amount of residual fat in undereyes following blepharoplasty Thank you for sharing your question and posting your photos. It appears that your doctor performed a conservative blepharoplasty. It’s definitely better to be cautious when removing lower eyelid fat. If too much fat or skin is removed, it is difficult to repair. Overall (without seeing the before pics), it looks like your surgeon did a nice job. I hope this helps.

Answer: Eyelid Surgery Hello! Thank you for question. It is possible to make a revision surgery but I suggest you to wait until 1 year post op. For a appropriate and more successful evaluation you can provide more photos or face to face consultation is usually the better option. Best Regards!

Answer: It is far too early to know if you need a fix. Presumably you had lower eyelid fat resection or arcus marginalis release surgery where lower eyelid fat is repositioned into the top of the cheek. Either of these surgeries can take months to fully heal, In particular, the fat undergoes inflammation after surgery. This makes the fat lumpy and firmer than normal. This is a normal part of healing. This lumpy firmness is at its worst 2 months after lower eyelid surgery. It is only after that time frame that the inflammation slowly resolved over the next couple of months before the texture of the remaining fat returns to a more normal consistency. Generally this is something that is felt and not seen. In your case, one see the irregularity and it may very well be that something further will need to be done. However, I recommend giving this more time to resolve. Avoid the urge to "massage" the eyelid. I don't think this is actually helpful. Issues that persist after 6 months may benefit from revisional surgery.
