Asian eyelid surgery without ptosis repair? (Photo)

Made an appt w/ a surgeon for Asian eyelid surgery—am looking to make my eyes a bit more open w/ a more defined, low crease. I want a very subtle change/consistent crease vs what I have now (see photo) The surgeon recommended nonincisional eyelid surgery+ptosis repair (PR). However PR isnt within my budget, but surgeon said they're comfortable just doing eyelid surgery w/o it. but what will be the difference w/ or w/o PR? Will the result be worse, last less long etc w/o it?

Ptosis repairs to the distance between your eyelid margin (where the eyelashes are) and the light reflex on your cornea is decreased. Based on your photos, it does appear that you may have some ptosis of your right eyelid as the lid margin crosses your iris at a lower point than the left. If the asymmetry is not something you've noticed before, then as long as the surgically created is kept low and subtle, you may not be bothered by the persistent asymmetry, but understand that the asymmetry will be a bit easier to notice since the upper eyelid crease height will also inevitably have a visible height difference since the lid margins are not at the same height - the right crease will look slightly larger than the left crease.

Hello KtinyancBased on your photos,the eyelid muscle looks weak and it covers your pupil a bit .That's why your surgeon suggest PR as optional.Ptosis correction surgery can enlarge the size of the eyes effectively by correcting weakened muscles. I suggest you Ptosis correction together with Eyelid Surgery. Also if you want only a very subtle change make sure to tell the doctor when he designs your line not to create more higher crease what you have now.
