Got fillers yesterday and accidentally poked them with my fork, is this bad?

Hi! Like 16 hours ago I got lip injections (Stylage). A few minutes ago I was eating and accidentally poked my upper lip with the plastic fork I was using. Is it bad for my lips? It wasn't that hard, I did feel it, but not that it still hurt afterwards. I was looking for answers to this question on this forum, but could only find questions from people who really bumped their lips against something and that is not the case for me. Just want to be sure that I didn't damage anything.

Hello and thank you for your question.  A light poke should not affect the results of your fillers. Fillers are designed to mimic our own tissues and can handle a normal amount of stress. Unless there was a puncture to the area or severe bruising, there is no cause for concern.  Hope this helps.

I think you should be just fine. If the area is a little sore just apply some ice. It should have no effect on your result. Best, Dr. M
