Thanks for the question. There's no age limit or ideal age for Tummy Tuck. However, patients must be over 18 years of age.
Far more important than the technique is the skill and experience of your plastic surgeon. Choose your surgeon rather than the technique and let them explain why one technique may be better than another. See the below link on some suggestions on finding the most qualified Plastic Surgeon for you. Always insist on a board certified plastic surgeon.
Sorry to hear you’re having some issues with your previous tummy tuck. First, there isn’t a specific age cutoff for getting a tummy tuck or other cosmetic surgery, for that matter. More importantly, we look at your overall health and physical condition to determine if you could be a good candidate. As for the tightness you’re experiencing, I would recommend talking to your plastic surgeon to make sure there’s nothing else going on that could be causing this. If everything checks out and you’re still unhappy with your results, your age shouldn’t keep you from getting a revision. Best of luck!
Age is a small consideration when discussing surgery for a patient. Their general health & medical issues, medications, weight, BMI and smoking status are more important. There isn't much that can be done to lessen the tightness - this is usually the aim of the surgery! If your weight is still causing the tightness then this should be addressed non surgically. Return back to your surgeon for a review to discuss your concerns. All the best
Thanks for the question. First, there is no real age limit for an abdominoplasty. It is based on the patients health and length of surgery. Your description of a tight belly that is still big may be several conditions. A physical exam would answer these questions.Dr T
