Is there a surgery that can reduce the waist size a couple of inches?

Question

I am pretty skinny and I am not looking to reduce fat, just waist length. I weight about 110lbs and want an hourglass figure. Is there a surgery out there that can achieve this look?

To reduce your waist circumference, liposuction can help as long as you don't have loose skin or weakened ab muscles (in which case a tummy tuck would be better achieve your goals). This will give you an hourglass figure.

Without any photographs it is impossible to comment specifically about your situation. However sounds as though you're fairly fit and I don't see how an operation to narrow the waist such as a modified abdominoplasty makes much sense.

waistline can be narrowed if there are so-called stubborn fat pockets. if there is muscle laxity instead then its best to do exercises. I have performed this procedure in many patients who are good candidates and it looks very nice actually

If you have bulging around your waist, even a small amount,liposuction could be beneficial. However, I am not sure whether you mean your waist circumference or its placement relative to your hips. If you are short waisted by anatomy, this is something you have to live with.

By waist I assume you mean the circumference of the smallest measurement of your abdominal torso.  If you mean diminishing the lateral contour of the waist by pulling it in 2 inches the answer is probably no, but it can be improved especially using laser assisted liposuction which has the ability to tighten the skin.  If you mean 2 inches from the circumferential measurement all the around that is much more possible.
