The principle behind the Brazilian butt lift is grafting fat from one place to another. This can certainly be done to breasts as well as many other parts of the body. There are certain limitations to breast fat transfer. The most significant limitation is the amount of fat that can be placed at any one time. As a general rule, we try to never place more fat than would double the size of the breasts. Of the fat grafted, only a certain percentage will stay. Some of the fat is absorbed.  We refer to this procedure as Up A Cup. In general, that is what patients should expect from the procedure. It's possible to do fat grafting more than the once. If a patient wants to be substantially larger, then breast implants make more sense.We routinely perform these procedures while patients are awake, using no needles, no scalpels and no sutures.
