Deep nasolabial fold on right side at 22 y/o. Would I benefit from filler being placed into it? (Photo)

I’ve had a deep nasolabial fold on only my right side since I was 17/18 years old that has become more pronounced over time. I did lose about 30lbs during my teen years so I’m sure I lost some volume in my mid-face; however I’m now about 15lbs up from this weight. I had half a syringe of filler placed in my upper cheeks a few months ago to improve the appearance of tear troughs but it hasn’t helped with the nasolabial fold. Would I benefit from filler? Or could micro needling be enough for this?

For the nasolabial fold on your right side, both bio-fillers (such as Sculptra or BellaFill), and dermal fillers could help correct the asymmetry/volume loss. Dermal fillers (like Juvederm, Stylage, or Restylane) are hyaluronic acid-based and can be used to restore volume directly in the fold, softening its appearance. Filler is ideal for adding immediate volume and correcting mild to moderate asymmetry. 
Bio-fillers (such as Sculptra and BellaFill), on the other hand, stimulates collagen production over time to gradually rebuild lost volume and improve skin texture. It’s a longer-lasting option, with results that can last up to two years, but it requires multiple sessions to achieve optimal results. This treatment is great for individuals who have lost a significant amount of weight.
Microneedling may improve skin texture and firmness but is unlikely to fully address volume loss or asymmetry in this case. A consultation is necessary to determine if filler alone or a combination of treatments would be best for your situation.

I recommend fillers to soften the nasolabial folds themselves and also lift around the mouth and cheeks to build underlying anatomical support.
