Hiya After successful Botox , a few weeks ago Mum is now looking to have filler for the lines around her mouth and bridge of her nose , to which she has had test patches on her arm twice over the past month. Many years ago when she was in her 20s , she received an adrenaline shot.She has never needed another shot since. The leaflet offers the following :Restylane,Perlane,Juvederm and Radiesse .The lady at the clinic who is a nurse said she will have an adrenaline shot ready .Thx in advance x

Must tell injecting doctor the medical history!!! Plus maybe try a test dose first. Otherwise there should be no relationship between nut allergy to HA fillers...

Dear Candice, your mother should be fine with the suggested fillers. There is no cross sensitivity between nuts & hyaluronic acid, or Calcium hydroxyl appatite. I suggest seeing a dermatologist, rather than a nurse, for doing the procedure,though !

your Mum doesn't seem to fit the profile...doesn't seem like any special precautions other than normal cautions are necessary...if she's at all skittish, see an allergist first...or simply avoid the treatment...but there's nothing that indicates any special risk...
