Will consuming alcohol within 24 hours after having IPL affect the results?

Question

have just had my ipl yearly top up, i have a few pink areas & very light, hardly visable broken capillaries that seam to have almost gone, i had to attend an event later that evening on the same day i had ipl, my face reacts pretty well to ipl now and i dont really suffer any down time, a little makeup hid any evidence i had ipl a few hours before, but i drank a fair amount of alcohol that night, it didn't cause my face to flush, but i am worried i may have affected the results.

You can safely drink alcohol post ipl without affecting the results. Ensure you follow the guidelines of your treating physician as he or she is most knowledgeable of the scope of treatment and the specifics about you.

It's highly unlikely that you'll have any permanent changes as a result of drinking alcohol after an IPL treatment.  Some degree of redness and swelling are expected after each session, but these side effects fade in a matter of days.

Hello, Having alcohol  after an intense pulsed light therapy session will have no bearing on the final results of your treatment. You may develop a slight flush after consuming alcohol, but this will not bee a long lasting concern.
