My eyebrows thinned dramatically during IPL treatments for rosacea. Will they recover? (Photo)

I've had 5 Vasculite treatments for rosacea & my eyebrows look thinner than I’ve ever seen them. I looked at pics of myself from prior to the treatments + put 2+2 together. Specs for all 5 sessions are as follows: Vasculite 560nm; fluence: 34 J/cm2; pulse width 3ms x2; pulse mode: double; pass thru: 1 on all areas except for cheeks, nose & chin on treatments 1-4, which had 2 pass throughs; 2 all areas treatment 5. Before + after pics below. Thanks for any help/guidance--it's been devastating.

Thanks for the IPL settings.  It would be more helpful if you had before pictures of the "thinned" hair areas.  In general, IPL can affect the hair in a treated area. Light energy can "bleed" into the non-primary treatment zone. But the wavelengths you mentioned are not used for hair reduction.  Even when a doctor WANTS to remove hair, it takes a wavelength that is designed for this purpose and requires multiple treatments. So there are a lot of items left missing in order to give you a correct response. Best to discuss this problem with your treating doctor.

Hair can be burned or removed from IPL treatments.  I suggest you start latisse and/or PRP injections to the brow and avoid any IPL over the hair line.  Best, Dr. emer.
