Unfortunately, I can’t make any type of recommendation without at least a few photos indicating the type of correction you want. I can tell you that rhinoplasty is the most complex of all plastic surgery procedures, requiring a great deal of expertise and artistry to create a look that is natural and proportionate to the other facial features. I encourage you to schedule a consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon who has extensive experience in nose reshaping techniques. Through an examination and discussion of your needs and goals, your surgeon can create a customized treatment plan that meets your expectations.
Hello and thank you for your question. Seeing photographs would be useful. Rhinoplasty can take down dorsal hump, give definition to nasal tip, improve alar flaring and if needed add to the existing underlying framework to achieve a desirable outcome. My best advice is that you discuss your concerns and aesthetic goals with a board-certified plastic surgeon with extensive experience in performing rhinoplasty. I would ask to see before and after pictures of their real patients. It's important that you trust your surgeon's skills and ability to achieve the results you are looking for. In particular, pay attention to your surgeon's experience with rhinoplasty. Best,Pejman Aflaki, M.D. Johns Hopkins-trained double board-certified plastic surgeon
Hi and welcome to our forum!Without photos to demonstrate your appearance, it is impossible to provide an opinion regarding a specific procedure. In general, performance of a rhinoplasty can straighten a crooked nose, narrow the nose, increase nasal tip definition, lower a high bridge, augment a low bridge, narrow the nostrils, and elevate a drooping nasal tip. Cartilage and bone grafts can be used to augment deficiencies of cartilage or bone.Visit a board certified plastic surgeon or otolaryngologist for in-person evaluation and discussion.Best wishes...
A nose should fit your facial features, skin tone, ethnicity, and even height, and a good surgeon will work with you to arrive at the optimally harmonious look. But many surgeons have a favorite style: the ski jump, the pug, the narrow bridge, etc. When interviewing doctors, be sure to ask to see their work. Have them show you photographs or computer images, or point out any nurses or other staff who have had a nose job done by them. If you see that each nose is an exact replica of the next, be wary: you want a nose that pleases you, not just your surgeon.
Adding volume and support to some noses will improve definition, but techniques are individualized to achieve the best possible resort. For example, adding cartilage to a very big strong nose may not improve definition but just make the nose bigger. Consult with a rhinoplasty specialist to discuss the best options to achieve your goals.
It is difficult to give you a solid answer on this. Morphing your photo on a computer can give a good approximation of what can be achieved in reality. That being said, it is just that, an approximation. There is no way to guarantee how your results will turn out as there are many other fa...
Your nose looks fine to me. It is always easier to reduce a nose than to try to build it up which would require a graft or implant. A lot of times they don’t end up looking too natural. My advice is to leave it alone and don’t take the risk.
If the hump is really small then it can be addressed under local anesthesia but just shaving off the cartilage and rasping the bone. However, the majority of hump removals require osteotomies as well (breaking the bones) and that is more involved. RegardsDr. J
