What are the cost for pre-op plastic surgery test in the UK vs Abroad?

Thank you for your question. I would recommend speaking to your GP to see if it is possible to perform these tests without a fee. 

You would need to ask your GP whether they would be happy to do these tests for you. There are private GP practices and providers who would offer this if the NHS do not fund it.

Cosmetic surgery performed overseas can seem very appealing as on the surface the surgery can appear to be much cheaper than in the UK.
You do need to factor in a few things though...
1) Qualifications of the surgeon - British trained plastic surgeons will have spent 10years in training and will have passed the FRCS(Plast) examination - THE only recognized examination in Plastic, Reconstructive & Aesthetic Surgery, what qualifications does your surgeon have ?
2) British plastic surgeons will appear on the GMC specialist register and be members of BAPRAS/BAAPS
3) Quality of the hospital/clinic overseas
4) Aftercare - who will see you after your surgery ?
5) What happens if something goes wrong ?
6) What happens if I am unhappy with my result ?
Chances are you will have a good result if you go overseas for your surgery but what happens if you develop a problem, how many extra flights will you need to pay for, time off work, hotel costs etc ?
The NHS is tightening up with regards to treating cosmetic surgery problems and as such you may have to pay for remedial treatment in the UK.
Is it worth the risk for the sake of 2000GBP ?
