i read this yesterday(been using it for around 10 days) and went NUTS. i know all medicine have side effects. some can even kill you. But this is the first time ever,i hear of a side effect that does the exact OPPOSITE of what it treats. so can minoxidil actually worsen alopecia??

Answer: Some people may find that topical minoxidil will not work for them. But it does not make your hair loss worse.
Most likely hair will regrow. You
will have to wait at least 6 months to see.
If you don’t see complete growth of your hair after 6 months, you should
see a hair specialist for further examination.
From what you described, you might
have one of these conditions:

Stopping and restarting finasteride does not guarantee that the hairs that were lost for the 2.5 months while you were off of it, will return. Time will tell you that answer
