I was wondering if my stomach (upper part) were you can't see my belly button is either excess fat or loose skin. I have lost a little over a 100 lbs in the last two years. I am 5'1 and currently weight about 150-152 lbs. I would like to loose another 30 lbs? 30 yrs old. Do you think that loosing the next thirty pounds will decrease the upper crease hanging over my belly button or should I consider a full tummy tuck in the future. I am not married and do not have kids.

Answer: Tummy-Tuck, Excess fat or lose skin? First of all thank you for the photos and congratulations on losing all that weight! The area above your navel is a bit of both. Losing more weight will certainly help, but the excess skin will remain. The truth is you are on your way on becoming a perfect candidate for a Tummy-tuck..... keep it up! A tummy-tuck will help you lose all that excess skin that is impossible to lose by diet and exercise alone. It changes the body of patients in the most dramatic way and will not prevent you from having normal pregnancies. Best Of Luck!!

Answer: Excess skin and fat Thank you for your pictures. This area above your belly button does excess skin and fat. An additional 30 pounds weight loss will most likely make this overhang worse. That is a good trade-off will better help in a more stable weight. Once you have reached your weight goal an abdominoplasty is a great solution to improve your abdominal contour.
