Hi there! Those dents are due to very active frowning muscles. I recommend you start by treating the frown muscles with Botox every 3 months. Be consistent and try that several times. Once you are continuously relaxing those muscles with Botox, they should soften and flatten a bit, making those dents less noticeable. Only if they are still there and still bother you, then you try filler. The reason why filler isn't the first choice is that this area (the glabella) is a "high risk" area to treat with filler due to the risk of blocking a blood vessel ("vascular occlusion") and rarely blindness can occur. Since the dent is due to your active frowning muscles, it's best to soften the muscles with Botox before turning to filler.
These "dents" appear to be related to hypertrophy of your corrugator muscles. I would first try aggressive treatment of this with neurotoxin as filler in this area can be risky. If you do not get the results you are looking for after some time (may take a year or more), then you could see if some filler could help.
Frankly, the dents seen in the photos appear to secondary to increased static muscular tension in the muscles of the glabella region creating the "valleys" seen in the photos. Botox works well for diminishing static muscular tension and a couple of microdroplets of the Botox will likely diminish the mounds and make the dented valleys so much less cosmetically problematic. In the event that is still necessary, a small amount of filler can be added to elevate and smooth the dents still further. However, filler treatments in this area should not be left to the hands of inexperienced, novice injectors accustomed only to injecting simple Restylane or plain Juvederm into smile lines. You would be wise to consult with a board certified cosmetic dermatologist and best of luck.
From the photos it appears you may have improvement with Botox.. The "dents" may be from muscle activity which could be softened from Botox injections. The treatment is done in the office and final results are seen after two weeks. See an expert injector near you for an evaluation and treatment.
Exposure to the sun can potentially impact dermal fillers, and it's generally advisable to take precautions to protect your skin from UV radiation after undergoing filler treatments. While sun exposure itself may not directly diminish the fillers, certain factors can come into play:1. Breakdown...
You are absolutely correct in noticing that many providers do not offer this treatment. This is a highly advanced area to treat as injections around the eye (and truly anywhere in the face) carry the risk of injecting filler into a blood vessel which can cause occlusion and very rarely blindness...
Under-eye bunching when smiling or making facial expressions can be due to several factors, including skin elasticity and underlying muscle activity. For under-eye bunching, treatments such as Botox or Dysport can be considered. These are injectable treatments that work by temporarily relaxing...
