Hi there. I was thinking about getting dermal fillers in my temple area and also the apples of my cheeks (not the high cheekbone area). I use my VR headset to work out and it's quite heavy. I take measures to counterbalance it so it doesn't put too much pressure on my forehead and cheeks, but it still applies some pressure. If I get dermal fillers in these areas, how long would it be recommended that I wait before I resume using the headset? Thank you!

Answer: Avoid anything high impact or high pressure (boxing, grappling, etc.)
This is my expertise and a huge portion of my practice. Asymmetry is normal and expected. Buccal fat pad gives slimming not symmetry. Masseter botox will make you slimmer and make the jawline more loose. Fillers help give shaping and contouring. If you want perfect or close to perfect symmetry...
Facial sculpting and contouring can be created with well-placed fillers (Voluma, Countour, Radiesse, Bellafill) and Sculptra, which would give improvement in facial balance. Fat or implants are alternatives. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a facial sculpting expert. Best, Dr. Emer
Sculptra stimulates your own collagen formation so its really not a filler. With the dilution being a little more and the proper post care instructions the chances of granulomas are decreased.
Sculptra is a beautiful product as long as your patient.
Best of luck!
