Is it normal to have an uneven columella 2 weeks post op? (photo)

My nostrils appear lopsided due to the columella healing unevenly. It's freaking me out a little because my nose prior to surgery was VERY symmetrical. I did have a "hanging tip" that was brought up. Can someone tell me if this is normal? Thank you

You are very early in the healing process.  Swelling doesn't really know which side to go into so it is not uncommon to see asymmetry after surgery for several weeks.   Speak to your surgeon if you have concerns,  unless the septum was moved the columella should settle into the midline once the swelling goes down.

subside after rhinoplasty. Here in San Diego, we follow our patients for one
year to follow their healing. Consider following up with your surgeon to
monitor your progress and see if any intervention is necessary. Rarely a second

Thank you for your question. It takes at least 6 months for the swelling to subside after a rhinoplasty. It is too early to judge the results. I would try and be patient and make sure you let your surgeon know your concerns.Good luck
