Hi @suemiya! Yes, this is normal 72 hours after a microneedling treatment. I recommend hydrating your skin with a Hyaluronic Acid serum. Best of luck to you, Dr. Nima!
Microneedling causes redness, scabs and irritation. That is normal. For facial rejuvenation I would suggest a combination approach of :1) skin care with products and PRP/microneedling2) PDT light therapy few times a month with growth factors3) laser treatments like clear and brilliant regularly and a few times a year Fraxel, Viva, Co2/Erbium4) Sculptra injections a few times a year for collagen production with fillers like juvederm/restylane/belotero/radiesse/bellafill5) thermage/ultherapy for yearly skin tightening with or without PDO or cone based instalift threads for lifting6) botox every 2-3 months to stop movement lines and prevent lines at rest
Microneedling creates a large number of tiny punctures on your face, which your body responds to by initiating repair. The peeling will be minimal, similar to a mild sunburn. After a microneedling procedure, it is also common to have a crusted texture around the area where the microneedling was done. This is perfectly normal. The duration of the crusted texture and the extent of the area affected will generally depend on the depth of the microneedling. Contact your physician's office if you have any further problems or if you develop worsening redness and tenderness in the treated area.
Thanks for your question and posting pictures. It looks like you had a very aggressive microneedling treatment. We offer microneedling along with over a dozen energy based procedures. Once our patients hear about their non-invasive options available, no on chooses the trauma and downtime of microneedling. I think microneedling is oversold by offices that don't have other / better treatment options. Look for a doctor's office with lots of treatment options and excellent reviews. I hope this helps.
Thank you for the question and for providing a picture. It seems like you had a somewhat intense treatment in some areas. I would recommend discussing this with your provider as he/she might need to prescribe something to prevent post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. Regards
This can be typical after a microneedling treatment, due to the histamine release. I recommend following up with your Doctor about after care and skin care recommendations. We suggest all patients follow up with facials like Silk Peel Dermalinfusuion to hydrate, exfoliate and provide the skin w...
No, we often combined these treatments on the same day to improve acne scarring. Keep in mind, acne scars need a combination approach for improvement. For the best results, one should target the acne scar type. As everyone has a unique pattern of acne scarring, the best solution is a tailored...
