Do I need to take off my nipple piercings for a BBL?

Hi, I am going to get a Brazillian Butt Lift soon. I would like to get lipo out of my upper arms, upper and lower back, and stomach. I don't want any lipo or work done on my breasts. Would I still need to take out my nipple bars? They are made of titanium. Thank you.

This is dependent upon whether or not electrocautery will be used during the case. Typically, surgery centers request that all jewelry and piercings are removed as a precaution. However, you may be able to replace them with the plastic bars.

It is probably a good idea to take out your piercings because if a cautery is used, it might cause a burn.  Best of luck.

They only need to come out or replaced with plastic ones if a bovie is going to be used during the case. I do not use a bovie in a BBL. A tegaderm could be placed over you nipples to maintain a sterile field.
