I had my nipples pierced and a keloid started to form on my right nipple. My areola and nipple increased in size. Would a nipple reduction be the right procedure ? I also intend on having a breast augmentation. Would having a breast augmentation change the way my nipple and areola looks?How would you advise this situation.

Hello, thank you for your question. It is hard to predict how the scar will heal. It may be a bit more sharper color difference between the areola and breast skin after surgery.

Thank you for sharing your question and photographs.  Based on the relative size of the tattoos I think it imprudent to pursue removal as it would lead to a significant cosmetic deformity.

While it is not guaranteed, you should understand that your ability to breastfeed following surgery may be negatively impacted. This is a risk related to any cosmetic breast surgery, even if it is rare in occurrence.

Thank you for sharing your excellent question and photograph. Assuming your tissues have fully healed you could pursue an areolar reduction alone, or as part of a breast lift to achieve a look closer to what you had envisioned.
