The answer to your question is pretty straightforward. Botox and neurotoxin injections in general have an extremely high patient satisfaction rate. You didn't ask, so I won't comment on other areas of your face that you may want to explore the various non surgical and surgical interventions to fight aging that will yield better results than Botox.
Hi Tony, thank you for your question. Botox can be used to help treat fine lines in wrinkles in multiple areas of the face including the forehead, glabella (area near the eyebrows) and crows feet (area around the eyes) as an example. If you notice lines and wrinkles around these areas when you move these areas of the face with movement of the eyebrows and eyes then Botox could be a good treatment option to address these areas. You can also have a full face assessment but a licensed practitioner to determine a comprehensive treatment plan with you.
If you're concerned by the appearance of frown lines, forehead lines, or crow's feet, you may in fact enjoy the effects of a Botox treatment. I hope this is helpful! Sincerely, Dr Joseph
Hello Tony. Thanks for your question. The photos are difficult to see in great detail but it looks like you are a great candidate for Botox (we use Dysport) between the eyes. These neurotoxins relax the muscles, improving the frown lines or 11 lines you see between the eyes. The effects typically last 3-5 months. What's aging you much more is the under eye area or "tear trough". The darkening, shadowing and contours under the eye create a tired appearance. Surgery and dermal fillers are both options to help (see link below).
For dynamic wrinkles, consider Botox, which I have been injecting for aesthetic reasons for this purpose since 1991. . Dynamic wrinkles and crinkles are those that appear in the overlying "fabric" of the skin with movement of the underlying muscles of facial expression, i.e. smiling, scowling, worrying, etc. At least from the photos provided, the forehead is still smooth; there is little evidence of crow's feet and no significant horizontal worry lines on the forehead. There appears to be some vertical "eleven line"-like creasing between the eyebrows at rest, which suggests that Botox may be helpful there for diminishing the frowning that is undoubtedly contributing to this. Once injected, Botox takes between one and seven days on average to take effect. At rest, one sees hollowing and tear trough formation under the eyes, as well as early smile line and marionette development. For these "static wrinkles" and issues, an appropriately chosen HA filler for each area, properly injected by an expert, can produce immediate and very gratifying improvement. I have been using the various natural HA fillers for these purposes for nearly a quarter of a century. Finally, the at-home, regular use of certain prescription topical medications can help to maintain the quality of the fabric of the skin and may even prolong the results obtained from the aforementioned. You would be wise to consult with an experienced, board certified cosmetic dermatologist and best of luck.
Botox is best used to treat/prevent wrinkles, especially in the forehead region. In your case, it could be used for prevention. Your skin looks great and you barely have any wrinkles! I do see a small crease in the glabellar area (between your eyebrows) which can be softened with Botox. As for the under eye area, you seem to be a candidate for a blepharoplasty. This is a small surgical procedure that removes some of the excess skin under the eye that create the bags and tired appearance. It would tighten the skin and get rid of the dark shadowing. Our office offers in-person or virtual consultations if you would like to discuss options further!
Hello Tony, and thank you for reaching out with your query.Considering your age and the photos you've shared, it appears you could greatly benefit from botulinum toxin treatments, such as Botox or Dysport, especially for addressing your frown lines between the eyes and the horizontal lines on your upper forehead. While it's a bit challenging to ascertain from the photos, treating the crow's feet at the sides of your eyes could also offer benefits, though the most significant impact might be seen with your frown lines. Most importantly, seek a highly trained physician injector for optimal results and safety.
Based on your age & pictures, you would likely benefit from a botulinum toxin (e.g. Botox, Dysport etc) for your frown lines in particular (between the eyes), as well as the upper forehead horizontal lines. Hard to tell, but likely there would be benefit in treating the Crows feet area at the side of the eyes as well, but less "bang for your buck" than treating your frown lines. Most importantly, seek a highly trained physician injector (e.g. dermatologist) for optimal results and safety.
Great question! Botox is for any adult looking to address wrinkles caused by action of our facial muscles. My opinion: results are most effective and reproducible in the upper third of the face. Injected by a properly trained medical professional Botox addresses wrinkles in the forehead (frontalis muscle), glabella (corrugator muscles) and crow's feet (lateral orbicularis oculi muscles). Results commonly last 4-5 months.
You will likely have the best results from a combination of treatments. Botox can be used between the brows and at the crows feet area to soften the appearance of dynamic wrinkles. Fillers can be used to contour the face and soften deeper depressions. Morpheus8 is a treatment that combines RF technology and microneedling to improve overall skin tone and texture. We also recommend using medical grade skin care products like Transform MD and wearing sunscreen every day.
