Is it normal for your dental crown to have a rough texture?

Once i first got my dental permenat crown its was smooth not it is still smooth but a little rough on the top is this normal?

The gum tissue is visibly irritated around your temporary crown. Because you have two temp crowns and issues with only one, I would say you can rule out an allergic reaction. The irritation is likely caused by the temp crown being to bulky or rough or is due to excess cement trapped in the area....

You should not be experiencing bleeding around your permanent crown. There could be multiple reasons for the bleeding such as left over cement causing irritation, a open margin, an ill fitting crown, or lack of good oral hygiene. Also, headaches should not be expected after a root canal. Thi...

It's possible that your tooth has become reinfected or possibly fractured. I would recommend seeing your dentist right away for an evaluation. A retreat may be necessary followed by a crown to seal and protect your tooth. Good luck and I hope this helps. Follow me if you have more questions.

It's possible that you are hitting on that tooth too hard. This usually requires a simple adjustment of the crown or the tooth below it.
