I was bulimic and using laxatives for one year. I have recovered and haven’t done either in one month and three weeks. I’m very healthy now and eat a very well balanced diet and take multivitamins daily. Physically and mentally I feel and look great (healthy). I’m scheduled for a nose job and I have my blood tests tomorrow. Is a month and three weeks enough recovery time for my blood tests to be ok?

Hello, thank you for your question
It may be fine - but I tell all patients to make sure to touch base with their surgeon and their recovery/post-op team to make sure they are maximizing recovery. All the best!

Dear Eastcoastlady86, An in office examination is necessary to determine what the cause of the bump is. I would suggest that you see your surgeon for a follow up appointment as he/she knows best what techniques were used during your procedure. Best regards, Michael V. Elam, M.D.
Thanks for your question, you need to be seen and have a complete evaluation before we can give you any recommendation, surgery itself can make your nose dry for short period of time or longer, incomplete reduction of blocking structure can also cause blockage of airway. good luck!
