Is it normal for muscle tenderness to return 6 weeks post op BA?

Hello and thank you for your question. It can be normal to still have muscle tenderness and random nerve issues for several months following surgery. Many people get tender from where they had minimally been using that muscle for the first 4-6 weeks of recovery and then they go back to normal activities. It's like you are doing a workout in that area. If it continues to cause you problems, I would recommend calling your surgeon and getting checked out by them. There are multiple reasons why tenderness may return after 6 weeks. You are still recovering at this point. You are likely back to your normal routine and you may have overused the muscle unknowingly. It is always best to speak with your surgeon about your concerns as he/she is most familiar with the details of your surgery and how you've been progressing through recovery.
