Answer: SPICY FOODS AFTER SURGERY In some patients the combination of spicy foods, pain killers and antibiotics, can trigger an upset stomach, it just better to avoid spicy food while you are taking some medications.

Answer: Spicy is fine Don't know who you are referencing. No real dietary restrictions after surgery. The anesthesia "hangover" may make it less desirable to eat some things, but not because it jeopardizes the surgery.

Answer: Why do they say not to eat spicy foods after Breast Augmentation or surgery in general? Thanks for writing,I am not sure who "they " is, but this something I have never requested of my patients and in 26 years it's not been an issue. If a patient has reflux disease and they are not using medicine for it than limiting spicy foods could be beneficial .Good LuckStephen M.Davis, MD, FACSGreen Hills Plastic Surgery
