If indeed the bump is excess fibrous tissue, then it can be treated much like a papular acne scar, i.e. by the use of an intralesional anti-inflammatory injection to flatten it and, if necessary, supplemented or substituted with light electrocautery to flatten it. You would be wise to consult an experienced board certified cosmetic dermatologist. Best of luck.
