I like my nose certain days but have allergies near constantly and my nose swells emphasizing the issues I have. My child swung his head inti my nose as a toddler. I heard what sounded like a twig snapping, it was not broke but cartilage then had a curve near tip. Additionally the tip has fallen a bit. what is least invasive surgery ie. low anesthesia, I can have? I 3don't want a new nose, just to have it look like it did. I am 52, so I think that has to fo with tip falling.
Answer: If you're looking to get your old nose back, consider not doing surgery. I say this since you appear to have very thin nasal skin and the entirety of your cartilaginous and bony skeleton of your nose can be seen through your thin skin. In that regard, it regularities following rhinoplasty surgery are common. Based on your limited photos, the small amount of tip drooping that you may have, may not outweigh the risks of having a less than desirable rhinoplasty result since you are looking to restore the old. In our experience, tip lift requires Tip plasty and this would completely change the appearance of your nasal tip. I don't believe there is a quick fix. Hope this helps! Dr Joseph

Answer: Rebalancing the nasal tip The best way to augment your nose /lift the nose tip back to the original position non-surgically is to inject a small amount of dermal filler. If done correctly it will look very natural. In this case less is more.

Answer: Less invasive nasal surgery: Less invasive nasal surgery: The least invasive way to elevate a drooping tip is a nasal tip plasty. This however will not address a dorsal hump or other issues that may detract from a harmonious look with a more elevated tip. A closed rhinoplasty is the least invasive way to address not only the tip but the mid portion and bridge of the nose all at once. Closed rhinoplasty is more difficult than open, and requires a great deal of experience to be good at it. There are relatively few surgeons who specialize in closed rhinoplasty, but it is a very effective and minimally invasive way of performing rhinoplasty in the right hands.

Answer: It's true that the longer nose can be part trauma, and part time. More ... Noses tend to get longer naturally with time. The only way to shorten the nose, though, is with a rhinoplasty. No filler or device will elevate the tip. How *much* to elevate the tip, or make other changes? We figure that out with morphs, well before surgery. I'd love for you to see some excellent professionally-designed morphs of what could possibly be done with your nose. Morphs could also help you identify better just what's bothering you, and help you set a goal for the rhinoplasty that's accurate for your tastes. Profile and three-quarter views would be particularly important in morphing your nose. (Side note: in my opinion, morphs should really be done by the surgeon, or he should direct an assistant as she makes the morphs. Morphs should be made with a constant eye to what actually *can* be done in surgery, for that particular nose, and the surgeon has that information and judgment best.) Finally, remember that rhinoplasty is an exquisitely difficult operation to get right, and you should only have surgery if you are able to make yourself very confident in your surgeon's skills. The changes that your nose needs require advanced techniques, and skill that most plastic surgeons don't possess with expertise. For most noses, it's much better to not have surgery than to have inexpertly-performed surgery. Read my essay on how to stay out of trouble while selecting a rhinoplasty surgeon. And it also discusses how to take photos that are best for online evaluations.

Answer: How can I fix my fallen nose tip A closed rhinoplasty approach is less invasive than an open rhinoplasty approach. All of the incisions are placed on the inside of the nose. A closed Rhinoplasty approach can accomplish lifting the nasal tip, shaving down the dorsal hump and narrowing and straightening the bridge line where the nasal fracture occurred. Also very important to release the depressor septi ligament which pulls your tip down dynamically when smiling.
