I get non-purpuric vbeam for diffuse redness caused by rosacea. Are there any reasons to not decrease the treatment intervals?
Answer: Vbeam treatments are safe to do 1 week apart Vbeam laser is an excellent modality for patients who have rosacea, blushing of the skin, facial and body telangiectasia, spider veins, redness, post surgical redness, and skin flushing. It is a safe procedure that can be used at varying depths to help treat micro blood vessels in the skin. We also use it in our office for facial skin inflammation, keloids, and hypertrophic scarring. It is an important part of scar therapy. Vbeam can be combined with chemical peels and other lasers, but experience with the treatment is essential. The Vbeam laser does not affect deeper tissue. Schedule a consultation with an expert in Vbeam and you will find it to be an excellent modality for many skin types. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Realself100 Surgeon

Answer: It Depends on Your Skin Hi there, thanks for your question. The standard guideline of waiting several weeks between treatments is more of a broad suggestion. For some people, having a V-Beam treatment once a week is perfectly safe, especially if you're not seeing a purpuric response. We actually will V-Beam patients daily for certain conditions. It's important to ensure that your skin fully returns to normal after undergoing a V-Beam treatment before you have another. I recommend talking to your doctor about increasing the frequency of your treatments or possibly adjusting their intensity. Best of luck.

Answer: Getting VBeam treatments every week is ok I have treated people after one week without any problems. The provider has to make certain the skin is back to baseline before proceeding would be my only word of caution.

Answer: Yes - but skin has to heal If you are getting non-prurpuric responses, perhaps you should get reviewed by your Specialist earlier? It really depends on your skin type and vessel size. Specialist differ in their settings and intervals. I personally do not like treating at weekly intervals, for rosacea I like every 4-8 weeks. If you do not respond as you should, I usually drop the pulse duration and increase the energy levels. I also look into your other factors that may flare up your condition. Weekly intervals is safe, providing the skin has 'healed' from the previous V Beam. CheersDr Davin Lim Laser DermatologistBrisbane, AUSTRALIA
