Volbella lip injections or Angioedema? (Photo)

I received volbella lip injections exactly one month ago today. This morning I woke up with swollen upper lip that got worse throughout the day. I went to emergency room and they told me I may have (idiopathic) Angioedema but they are not sure what may have caused it or why it happened. The doctor who injected my lips with volbella is facial plastic surgeon in manhattan- he is saying it can not be a reaction to volbella one month later...

Hopefully, they took some photos before your initial injection and can then compare it to your photos after your two weeks have elapsed.  This will give you the best idea of how much improvement you have had.  Occasionally, it's very subtle and hard to appreciate without referencing photos.  ...

Thank you for sharing your question.  Though anything is possible, an allergic reaction would have some manifestations at your lips such as prolonged swelling, redness, tenderness, etc.  Your symptoms appear more systemic and unlikely related to your Volbella treatment.  Hope this helps.
