Typical to have post Infini microneedling inflammation and scabbing occur? How long does it take to reduce? 5 days p.o. (photos)

I completed a round of Infini micro needling 5 days ago and have scabs, redness and some areas have hyper pigmentation occurring. I am applying Alastin and moisturizer daily but am not seeing significant improvement. The scabs are essentially track marks/grid marks from where needling occurred. Is it normal to have scabs and redness for this many days? Can I apply any other topical creams to accelerate recovery? Will this happen during follow up procedures?

At this point I would start Retin A. This will help exfoliate the skin and improve the healing process. If these persist for another week or 2, consider adding a hydroquinone. Alastin is a good product for healing after Infini.

Yes, depends on the PD, level and depth settings. INFINI RF is an good device the rate limiting factor is the Specialist. My post op notes and instructions vary from patient to patient, depending on the above. My suggestion is to refer back to your Plastics or Dermatologist as they have the levels. It is pure professional courtesy and patient care to tailor post procedure notes and instructions. With this degree of scabbing I can comment on the following - 1. Incorrect post op. instructions given or followed. 2. Longer PD and energy settings with very shallow settings 3. Incorrect pulsing of device - namely timing. I agree with Dr Weiner, HQ and down the line Vitamin A. I do like Infini, I also think its a superior device compared to Intracel or Intesif, but it comes down to the Specialist. This treatment can be delegated, however I sincerely belief the parameters should be dialled in by the Plastics or Dermatologist- all patients will vary. Take care, Dr Davin S. Lim.
