Hello, I had my buccal fat pad removed by an inexperienced surgeon who convinced me that my face was too round... I was persuaded by this surgeon because In fact I always was self conscious about my very round face and big cheeks. Now I’m turning 30 years old and frankly I feel like I look much older, I miss my round face and cheeks. What can I do? Perhaps the surgeon removed too much fat? I want to reverse this procedure. Please what can I do? Thank you for reading.
Answer: Buccal Pad Thanks for your question and Pictures The buccal fat pad is a rounded mass of fat in the middle of your cheek. It’s located between facial muscles, in the hollow area beneath your cheekbone. The size of your buccal fat pads affects your face shape. Everyone has buccal fat pads. However, the size of buccal fat pads can vary greatly. If you have larger buccal fat pads, you might feel like your face is too round or full. You can be a candidate for a Buccal Pad removal surgery. Best of Luck

Answer: Honest Answer People will tell you that you can refill the face (fat or filler) and that is true. To me it does not look over resected and the refilling procedure can make it look worse. I would start with filler since its not permanent and can be reversed and if you are much happier consider fat grafting. My two cents from these limited photos is that it really is not that bad but I understand it bothers you enough to come to RS so do what makes you happy!
