Hi There. I wanted to ask if its possible to have another buccal fat removal surgery if I was not satisfied with the first outcome? I know that my surgeon did not take all of the fat out as she said she did not want to make a hollow look but I think I would quite like a more prominent result. If I was to have more fat taken out, how long do I have to wait to have it done again? Thank you so much for your help.

In my practice, when I perform revision buccal fat removal from patients done elsewhere, I recommend the patients to allow at least 3 months of healing. 12 weeks or 3 months of healing allows the tissues to be back to normal, this increasing the success of the re-do buccal fat removal procedure.

I would NOT recommend a repeat operation - and that's without even seeing your photos.  The outcomes from buccal fat removal are typically subtle.  To go back into that space in the presence of scar tissue can be a little bit treacherous.   You certainly don't want to run the risk of a nerve injury by going back and asking for more than this operation can deliver.I think you should read the blog I'm attaching.  You will find it relevant and brief.Good Luck!
