Male, 52 years old, approx. 9% body fat. Any lower of a BF%, and I get creepy veins in the arms and legs. I can find few if any natural looking six pack ab Lipo results. If such results exist why do doctors resort to using male models with natural six packs in their promotional materials? The abdominal etching results I have seen rarely look natural. I am skeptical that a natural looking six pack ab result is possible, even for someone that has good starting point. Please prove me wrong.

Answer: High Definition Liposculpture You can get very defined abdominal musculature from liposuction. I call this a "high definition" procedure and do this quite frequently; it is the bulk of the type of liposuction I do seeing that I treat a lot of younger men. If you have a good contour and very little fat to begin with, with the right technique using smaller cannulas and sometimes with the addition of laser, you can get a very definied result. This is not the typical procedure for most liposuction physicians, so if you do chose to go to someone, pick someone who treats a lot of men and women who are already in shape and seeking to obtain more definition and shape from the procedure. When lipo to the abs is made, your doctor is looking for your skin to contract on top of your abdominal muscles, showing the frame you built. You may have a natural result, but you would never get a six pack like a body builder, that will only come from muscle hypertrophy from workout. You may maximize your result by exercising after the procedure, creating a better core for your contracting skin to show. Hope to have helped you with your question

The most natural abdominal six-pack look is the one you create yourself. But there are differing degrees of how abdominal etching is done that can make it look more or less unnatural. How many lines are placed and their extensions and how deep they are made all play a role in creating differing levels of the six-pack look. Abdominal etching is a good example of 'less is often better'.
