I have redness along the length of tear trough 10 weeks after filler. Is this normal? (photo)

My suggestion is to see a cosmetic dermatologist for evaluation formally.  There is likely vascular congestion and possibly some inflammation that needs to be assessed.  This is not a normal reaction for filler injection to this area.  I wish you the best, Dr. Emer.

I have seen several posts about persistent swelling associated with Versa Revanesse fillers on Realself and as doctors we tend to look at patterns. These patients, including your issue lend towards Versa causing persistent swelling and edema which is not a desired reaction for most patients.

I would choose Restylane or Juvederm next time you choose to volumize this area. In the meantime, try to remove the Versa as quickly as possible.

Im not familiar with this filler but from the picture it seems like the areas were over-filled a little bit. if this filler can be dissolved then I would consider that as an option.

Redness after filler injection is not unusual. However, one week out is concerning. Likely this is caused by local inflammation and vascular congestion. But at  this time I would recommend seeing a board-certified plastic surgeon.

It looks to me like the tear troughs are overfilled. I would consider getting it reduced with hyaluronidase. Set up a follow up appointment with your injector.

According to the product website, Revanesse Kiss it is indicated for lip augmentation and is used in Canada. When I perform teartroph injections I usually use fillers like Restylane or Belotero. Some swelling post injection is expected but I would be concerned if it persisted for longer than a week. I would consult the injector regarding dissolving the hyaluronic acid filler to ameliorate the swelling

Filler may sometimes cause vascular congestion with redness of the overlying skin.  This effect is either due to the filler itself or swelling from the filler causing direct compression or blockage of nearby blood vessels.  I recommend you return to your physician injector and request some hyaluronidase enzyme to partially dissolve some of the filler.  Often this will occur in the first couple weeks after treatment and resolve on its own, but since yours has persisted for so long I would recommend the enzyme treatment.

What I can see based from the photos is that you have residual trough or demarcation between the injected lines and the malar area. This may appear as a shadow of pink or light purple color. Either a touch up injection to this trough or removing the previously injected filler with Hyaluronidase will be helpful. 

You have some vascular compression/congestion happening where the filler was placed which is creating redness. You need hyaluronidase there to remove it and stop the compression from happening. Also, Revanesse Kiss is NOT approved for use in the U.S. so I assume you had this treatment overseas? "This answer has been solicited without seeing this patient and
