My bottom eye lids look like they're drooping how can I make them look more straight and not round? I put a pic of what I want my bottom lids to look like.. (Would a canthal tilt surgery help me get the eyes I want??
Answer: Surgery is not warranted Thank you for the question and photos. It is possible to have canthopexy to lift the eyelids, but the risks outweigh the benefits. You could easily be over-corrected and have a cat-eyed appearance. I would be careful of anyone recommending surgery on your eyelids at this point. If the eyelids worsen over the years, then it may be reasonable to have a procedure performed. Good luck.

Answer: THere's nothing wrong with your lower eyelids THerefore, you should not even think about surgery for the lower eyelids. The photo you have is not a realistic goal with your anatomy, and more would it even look good on your anatomy. I would advise a patient like you strongly against any surgery.

Answer: Lower Eyelid Surgery Eyelid surgery is not like getting a haircut. I would advise you against any surgeries to change the appearance of your lower eyelids at this time. You have a unique and natural look. Even in the best hands, surgery will change that. Embrace your individuality and consider that the person in the photo you provided may be wishing they looked like you!

Answer: I promise you that lateral canthal surgery will destroy your appearance. On the other hand, you photos are consistent with mild upper eyelid ptosis. A thoughtful consultation with an oculoplastic surgeon is reasonable. Be very careful with what you look for. If you are spending more than an hour a day thinking about this, you may have body dysmorphic disorder which will make taking care of your concerns more complicated.
