I would like to get a fat transfer to my under eyes and cheeks in addition to a microneedling+PRP facial. What is the most effective order of operations? Should I finish the PRP facials first? Should I do the fat transfer in between my first and third facial? Should I do the facial after? I want the fat transfer to take as well as possible and I want my result to look like a fat transfer with a slight lift to the face. I have just turned 35 and I think I don't need a full facelift.
Answer: PRP and fat transfer Thank you for your question. It is preferred to finish your series of PRP microneedling treatments prior to getting the fat transfer. Give your skin time to heal prior to the fat transfer. You can always consult with the practice providing the PRP microneedling treatments for further clarification.Regards,

Answer: PRP and Fat Transfer Hello and thank you for your question. In many cases, based on personal experience, physicians develop preferred protocols when combining procedures. The good news is that fat grafting can be mixed with PRP at the time of the procedure to optimize results. Although rare, graft infection can occur and because this can be extremely serious, the major concern is avoiding/ preventing infections. Keeping this in mind, I would allow enough time between procedures in order to promote healing and avoid infections. Moderation is important and more is not always better! I suggest you consult with the physician performing the graft and establish together a treatment plan. Best, Oxana Popescu MD

Answer: PRP facial and Fat Transfer I love PRP facials with microneedling. The question is are you also receiving fillers such as Sculptra or Voluma at the same time? You definitely can get a fat transfer in between if the skin has healed from the PRP. I don't like fat transfers and prefer using Sculptra to allow your body to produce its own collagen to add volume to the face in a more natural looking result. Please consult an expert in facial cosmetic injections for the best results. Best, Dr. Green

Answer: Fat TRansfer + PRP Hello,I would prefer to add PRP with Fat Transfer treatment. It would improve fat transfer results remarkably. Since fat transfer is subdermal then microneedling doesn't affect fat transfer much. Fat grafting is a process by itself. It requires taking fat tissue from your body and process it then inject it. It is time consuming. I would prefer to focus on the fat transfer process and not to do microneedling at the same time.A successful fat transfer procedure, you would expect more than 80% survival of the grafted tissue after 6 months.Having said that, your physician would explain his/ her preference,.All the BestRay Bayati, MDElite Medical AestheticsSacramento Area, California

Answer: Fat transfer and PRP Facial Thank you for your question. Let me begin by saying that not all fat transfer procedures are the same. I recommend the ALMI fat transfer procedure. This involves micronizing the fat which removes the mature fat cells which will die within 72 hours anyway. The fat can then be injected with a small gauge needle or cannula similar to a dermal filler. PRP will also be injected at the time of the ALMI fat. This helps to lock the fat into place and provides growth factors to stimulate the ALMI fat which is very rich in regenerative stem cells. Best of all you will achieve a natural, long lasting result with minimal or no downtime. As for timing relative to your PRP Facial - I don't think it makes a difference.I hope this was helpful - Dr. Moore.
