what is it and how does it work. Is this just another filler? Is it long lasting?

in a simplistic answers, Selphyl is a branded preparation system to prepare PRP which is derived from a small amount of your own blood. PRPor PRFM (which is PRP with an activator) is then injected in target areas to act similarly to a filler. PRP can be prepared via differed centrifuges and kits but be sure your doctor is using FDA approved PRP kits.

Selphyl is a single spin tube preparation system for platelet rich plasma.  Your provider can describe the pros and cons of these different preparation methods.  Some systems provide cleaner, or more concentrated, PRP, but may lead to higher prices.  Ask.

Selphyl is supposed to be PRP with a scaffold that forms on which collagen will form with time. Simply put PRP gets activated to form a meshwork that gets better results according to Selphyl.  We have found PRP alone with microneedling generates the necessary meshwork.  Good luck.

Selphyl is Platelet Rich Fibrin Matrix (PRFM) and it's a converted form of PRP Platelet rich plasma.  It is almost like a hybrid of fillers + PRP.  I don't know how it compares to just PRP alone in terms of longevity and effectiveness.
